Orange County authorities say a woman was stabbed to death at her home in Orange County late last night, and her husband was held by neighbors until officers arrived.
Orange County Sheriff´s spokesman Jim Amormino said 40-year-old Maria Rios died of numerous stab wounds. Authorities received a number of 911 calls about 11:25 pm, including one from an 18-year-old daughter of the victim.
Amormino said three children in the family witnessed the attack in Laguna Niguel.
Arrested at the scene was 44-year Arnulfo Rios. The sheriff´s spokesman said one of the neighbors who subdued Rios was an off-duty security officer who used his handcuffs, to detain the husband later arrested in the slaying.
