Whittier police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with the shooting death of his friend.
Sergeant Michael Garrahan says police initially thought the shooting of 15-year-old Nicholas Calamusa was an accident.
But after further investigation, Garrahan says there is enough probable cause to make the arrest.
The boy, who has not been identified because of his age, has been taken to a juvenile detention facility.
Nicholas Calamusa was at his friend´s house when he was shot in the face with a rifle belonging to the boy´s father.
