The California Assembly will soon have its 65th Speaker. That´s Assemblyman Herb Wesson Junior of Culver City.
Assembly members elected Wesson, a 50 year old Democrat, this morning. He assumes the Speaker´s position on February Sixth, replacing Assemblyman Robert Hertzberg, a Democrat from Van Nuys.
