It looks like the phone scammers are in action again. A Groveland resident reports getting a phone call from an individual in Quebec Canada. The caller claimed to be from the U-S department of the treasury, and told the woman she had won 33-thousand dollars. The only catch…she had to send him nearly 15hundred dollars as a so-called “security deposit”.
The caller uses the aliases Michael Stevens and Jack Dawson.
