A federal grand jury has indicted five men following a large methamphetimine lab bust last month in the Central Valley.
The lab was operated out of a bunker beneath a barn on an isolated ranch in French Camp. Authorities say it could produce 230 pounds of methamphetimine a day with a street value of about $2 million dollars.
The grand jury indicted Jaime Flores Silva, Roberto Maldonado, Gervasio Ramirez Verdusco, Edgar Rivera Murillo and Felipe Lopez Alcantar.
They were charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetimine and possession of a listed chemical with intent to manufacture the drug.
The maximum penalty for a conspiracy charge is ten years to life in prison. The maximum penalty on a possession charge is 20 years.
