Murphys resident Jeffery Warren Olsen, Forest Meadows golf course superintendent, walked out of a Bakersfield hotel room Saturday night, and hasn´t been seen or heard from since. Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department, along with the Bakersfield Police Department are trying to figure out what happened. According to police reports, Olsen was traveling with his five children to Disneyland for a family gathering and had stopped for the night at the Parkview Hotel in Bakersfield.
Police say the 43-year-old brother of a Sacramento County Sheriffs deputy, told his children around 5 p.m. he was going to check out the hotel facilities and would be right back. He has been missing since.
Olsen is described as a white male, 6-foot-4-inches and 250 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. His car, a tan 1990 Plymouth Voyager, also disappeared from the hotel parking lot.
The disappearance of Olsen is being classified as unknown-at-risk by the Bakersfield Police. Anyone with information is asked to call the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department.
