Fire crews responded to the report of a tree trimmer chipper truck on fire on the 12000 block of Mammoth Mine Road near Stent-Jacksonville Road, in the rural area southeast of Chinese Camp around 2:00 this afternoon.
Fire was contained to the engine compartment and cab of the truck itself. At one point, the fire posed a possible threat to the surrounding wildland, but arriving firefighters kept that from happening.
