Lawyers for Cary Stayner are getting ready to launch an insanity defense, in hopes of saving his life. The former motel handyman was convicted yesterday in the murders of three visitors to Yosemite National Park, and could face the death penalty. Stayner is already serving a life prison sentence with no chance of parole.
