The Glendale Fire Department says the 1000-acre brush fire scorching the Verdugo Mountains has been determined to be of suspicious origin. Captain Tom Marchand says the entire area is being treated as a crime scene. Flames jumped fire lines on the east side of the blaze overnight. The fire is 20% contained with temperatures expected to reach nearly 90 degrees today, with 15% humidity.
