WATCH resources will celebrate 30 years of local service to people with developmental disabilities Wednesday.
What started in 1972 as a small three-day-a-week drop-in recreation center has grown into a non-profit corporation. WATCH provides housing, vocational and educational training along with recreation and transportation for 160 adults with developmental disabilities.
A dinner and awards presentation night at the Sonora Opera Hall will celebrate the anniversary Wednesday, starting at 6 p.m. Contact WATCH at (209) 533-0510, Ext. 10 for ticket information and reservations.
