The battle staff of Camp Pendleton´s First Marine Expeditionary Force is being sent to Kuwait in a possible prelude to military action against Iraq. Selected forces of the Marine unit are to leave from Southern California and Arizona bases in coming weeks. A U.S. Army battle staff based in Germany also is headed for Kuwait on Iraq´s border.
