Drivers in Murphys won´t have to brake for an extra stop sign on Main Street — at least not yet.
Calaveras County Supervisors put off a decision on whether to install a stop sign at Algiers Road to give Murphys residents time to weigh in on the idea.
County Public Works Director Bob Kawasaki said the intersection doesn´t have an accident history, speed problem or enough cross traffic to warrant a stop sign.
