Voters decided on Yosemite Community College District Area 1 Trustee Incumbent Joe Mitchell to continue his position on the board. Mitchell, a healthcare administrator, out polled first-time challenger Donald Stone 9,717 to 5,369.
Stone, an education consultant, didn’t attend most of the candidate’s debates and forums before the election.
Area 1 of the college district includes Tuolumne, Calaveras and part of Stanislaus counties.
