State Initiatives Fare Well With Voters

California voters have approved statewide initiatives to fund before – and after- school programs and school construction. Also getting a thumbs-up was a measure that creates a $2-billion trust fund for housing programs. But a measure that would allow Election Day voter registration was defeated.
