Calaveras County sheriff´s deputies interrupted a burglary in progress arson in the Angels Camp area.
Someone called to report a suspicious car on Linboerner Road, and when a deputy arrived a man fled on foot and escaped. The car was stolen, and investigators say the man was trying to break in and possibly burn down a house there.
The investigation continues.
