Traffic Backed Up Behind Big Rig Wreck

Published Nov 15, 2002 11:05 pm : Updated Jan 31, 2009 5:35 pm

An overturned big rig snarled traffic on Highway 108 in east Sonora Friday afternoon.

The lumber truck overturned at the Sullivan Creek Bridge near the Peppery restaurant just before 3 p.m. No one was hurt in the accident, but to get the truck upright, the CHP had to block both westbound lanes.

Traffic was able to squeeze through on the single-lane center turn lane, and warned the cleanup was going to take a while.
