California State University, Fresno officials have suspended an off-campus fraternity where a student was allegedly sexually assaulted during the weekend.
Fresno State suspended the Zeta Kappa chapter of the Sigma Nu fraternity today pending an investigation into the assault during a party at the fraternity early yesterday morning.
Police arrested Fresno State student and Sigma Nu fraternity member Juan Ramirez yesterday.
An administrator with the university´s Division of Student Affairs says Fresno State will cooperate fully with police. Robert Hernandez says the university will also conduct its own investigation.
Hernandez says the fraternity was already on probation for other violations involving alcohol in the past year.
