A 13-year-old Sonora girl is in critical condition today after being hit by a car on Highway 108 Wednesday night.
Angel Engle was hit on Highway 108 near Seranno Road by a 1993 Ford driven by Thomas Hacker of San Bruno.
The California Highway says Engle ran into the path of the car. Hacker saw her and braked, but couldn´t stop in time.
Engle was flown by air ambulance to Sutter Roseville Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
