The Tuolumne Chamber of Commerce named Gail Witzlsteiner its Citizen of the Year last night during the organization´s annual Installation and Honors banquet.
Witzlsteiner serves as development director for Sonora Community Hospital, as well as being deeply involved with a long list of other community groups and organizations.
Witzlsteiner acknowledged the couple she shared the nominee honors with – Willy and Chuck Evans of Twain Harte Market.
Other Chamber honorees were teacher of the year Steve Southard, Entrepreneur of the year Michael and Janice Nelson, and excellence in Governments co-winners Liz Bass and Craig Pedro.
