A freak accident in the driveway of a Sonora man´s home has claimed his life.
The highway patrol reports 80 year-old Elvas Whittenberg died either tuesday or Wednesday when he was run over and killed by a home-made gravel leveler device attached to the back of his pickup truck.
Emergency crew personnel found Whittenburg´s body last night under the heavy trailer device at his Ranchos Poquitos home. CHP says the pick-up truck´s ignition was still on and the truck out of gas.
Investigators think the truck moved while the man was standing between the pick-up and the home made trailer.
