An intense, combined effort made relatively quick work of a 4 acre wildfire yesterday at the McCauley
Ranch in Buck Meadows.
5 air tankers, 2 helicopters along with 7 engine teams and other ground crews staged to protect some buildings. The area is
largely meadow grass, but the flames moved slowly, allowing crews to surround them within about an hour. forest Service Crews had help from Yosemite Park
firefighters. Crews from Mariposa County, and CDF teams from Tuolumne and Mariposa also helped. No injuries. Cause is under investigation
