Firefighters had their hands full in the Motherlode today. Crews were called to Parrot´s Ferry Road near a
shooting range just after 2:30 for a fire to some tires. Crews needed about 20 minutes to get it contained. No one was hurt.
Crews were then called to
Peppermint Circle in Jamestown for a grass fire that burned a quarter acre before crews got it surrounded a half hour later. No one was hurt and no structures
damaged.
Causes of both fires are under investigation.
