Supervisors from Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties strongly favored a BLM owned land in the
Glory Hole area of Angels Camp to be the site for the new tri-county juvenile hall and members of the Joint Powers Authority agreed in a unanimous vote during
a meeting this week.
JPA members will ask for a second time extension on the project which was to begin construction next month. However, delays
with deciding on a site will push it back into next spring.
The facility will cost somewhere between 5 and 7 million dollars to construct.
