A reminder that permits will be needed beginning tomorrow for any outdoor fires in Tuolumne or Calaveras
Counties. That will include camp fires in the Stanislaus National Forest. County permits list the precautions you must take for debris fires. Supervisor Ben Del
Villar says there are also conditions for a camp fire.
You must make sure there´s 5 feet of bare dirt around it, never leave it unattended and always
have a good supply of water handy.
Permits are free of charge at any forest ranger station.
