Tuolumne County is applying for a state grant to place probation officers at three area high schools. The
$187,000 would staff Summerville, Sonora and Cassina High Schools.
Chief Probation Officer Shirley Jewell says they would supplement the services
of police and Sheriff´s resource officers now assigned to those campuses.
