The Sonora City Council heard reports last night on a couple of upcoming projects. First, consultants
discussed the Mono Way/Greenley Road intersection. The delay for each vehicle is about a minute now, and with the new Sonora Community Hospital it´s
expected to increase to more than two minutes. Consultants believe the intersection should have six lanes.
The city is also cleaning up the
Balestra-Mehun Street parking lot. Administrator Greg Applegate says the plan is to clean up one parking lot per year. This one has asphalt in poor condition
and needs a new retaining wall.
