New Budget Signed

Governor Davis has signed a 103 (B)billion dollar state budget after vetoing out 600 (M)million dollars.
Davis says the budget is a little late, but calls it “a good document.´´

The budget was supposed to go into effect nearly a month ago. It includes less
spending than last year but increases spending for education and expands health care for the poor. He signed it at a Sacramento elementary school.
