Published Jul 27, 2001 6:26 pm : Updated Jan 31, 2009 5:54 pm

The Jamestown Sanitary District will be holding a Public Hearing July 30th to consider a monthly rate
increase of 10 percent. According to the District, new permits and increased requirements imposed by the Regional Water Quality Control Board has put a
strain on the District´s operating budget.

According to the district, the hikes will pay for improved water sampling techniques and for new solid waste
testing.
