The wildfire 20 miles west of Yosemite National Park is reported holding at about 722 acres. The forest
blaze along the Merced River was listed as 45 percent contained.
The California Department of Forestry reports that about 13-hundred firefighters
were working to contain the blaze. Six minor injuries to firefighters have been reported. No buildings have been threatened in the fire that broke out Tuesday.
The cause has not yet been determined.
