Doctor Theodore Werning of Soulsbyville, a pioneer in emergency medical services in Tuolumne County,
died shortly before midnight Sunday, when his car left highway 108 and rolled into a tree. Dr. Werning was a retired physician and surgeon. He was instrumental
in establishing paramedic ambulance services in the Mother Lode.
