Officials have ceremonially flipped the switch on a Palm Springs power plant expected to help ease the
burden on the state during periods of high power demand.
Governor Davis and other state officials toured the 135-megawatt Indigo Energy Facility
today, one of two plants that make up the Wildflower Energy Project.
The two plants were among the first plants to be licensed under the California
Energy Commission´s 21-day streamlined review process.
