Bee Reporter’s Appeal Nixed

A federal appeals court has ruled against a former reporter at The Fresno Bee who suffered a repetitive
stress injury and could no longer type.

The Ninth U-S Court of Appeals says Jacalyn Thornton is not disabled under the Americans with Disabilities
Act.

One judge disagreed, saying Thornton was substantially limited in being able to use a computer and meets the requirements of the Act.
