There will be a new Head Start facility on the Summerville Elementary School campus sometime this fall.
Head Start provides child care, no cost meals and health care for kids. It will work with the County Office of Education pre-school at the site, giving parents a
quality environment for their children.
Tuolumne County Supervisors confirmed a half-million dollar grant at the Supervisors meeting Tuesday, giving the
green light for the project to begin. The program is currently operating in classrooms at the school. Parents interested can call Head Start at 533-0361.
