The Jamestown Area planning commission will decide September 26th whether to allow a remodeling plan
for the 104 year old Emporium building on Main Street.
The plans call for strengthening the structure and making repairs to the exterior.
The
ornate building is listed on the State Historic Register. It was Tuolumne County´s telephone station from 1906 until 1923.
The Tuolumne County
Historic Preservation Commission approved the plan earlier this month.
