An administrator at U-C Irvine hopes to raise 40 million dollars in an effort to persuade University of
California officials to approve the building a law school.
Chancellor Ralph Cicerone says it´s unlikely that the U-C president and the Board of Regents
would approve a new law school or that the Legislature would fund it because of the slowing
economy.
