California Highway Patrol Chief Don Menzmer has announced that he will retire this Friday, ending his
36-year carreer with the force. Diversity on the force was a main focus during Menzmer´s watch.
Menzmer commanded the Central Division of the
CHP since 1999, representing nine counties between Kings and Tuolumne counties and nearly 1000 personnel.
