Highway Patrol officers have a La Grange man jailed for wreckless driving, after a chase through several
parts of that community yesterday afternoon.
Officers say Joseph Alan Staples drove through a stop sign at highway 132, then led the pursuing officer
on a chase through several side streets at speeds up to 70 miles per hour. He finally stopped and surrendered after driving to the end of a dead-end road. No
one was hurt.
