NASA´s 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft is circling the Red Planet on on its first full day in orbit, two years after the space agency suffered back-to-back failures by Mars missions.
A mission engineer at the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena reports Odyssey arrived nearly directly on its target yesterday and is slowly moving away from the planet.
