Tuolumne County has won the latest round of the long-running court battle between Robert White and the County Film Commission. This morning, Superior Court Judge Eleanor Provost ruled in favor of the film commission, dismissing White´s claims that it violated the Brown Act, a law that prohibits commissions to hold private hearings.
Previously, White was forced by the court to cease his attempt at creating his own film commission, on the grounds that it is the county´s responsiblity to facilitate film permits. White was unavailable for comment.
