Officials Advise Continued Fire Precautions

Published Oct 30, 2001 8:35 am : Updated Jan 31, 2009 5:56 pm

Even as the first rain is falling, fire officials warn that burning restrictions are still in place in the Mother Lode.

Burning permits are still suspended, and will be until a full analysis of fuel moisture is finished, after the storm moves through.

There are some preparations being made for winter: crews will be reduced at various stations tomorrow morning, and the Blue Mountain Lookout station will be closed.
