The Forest Service will conduct a planned burn starting November 5th in the Stanislaus National Forest. The operation will take place within some areas previously damaged by wildfires over the last decade.
According to officials, the burn will prepare the sites for reforestations and also reduce the threat of high intensity fires in the future. The project is expected to be finished in 20 to 30 days.
