Bond’s History Making Ball In Court Battle

A San Francisco judge says Barry Bonds´ record-setting 73rd home run ball must be kept under lock and key until a trial decides who owns it.

The ball could fetch an estimated two million dollars but only after what is expected to be a lengthy legal scrap.

San Francisco Giants fan Alex Popov got a glove on the ball October 7th at Pac Bell Park, but lost it as fans piled on him. Days later, Popov sued Patrick Hayashi, who emerged from the pile with the ball.
