A coalition of 34 California organizations is urging the U.S. Supreme Court to find that school vouchers violate the separation between church and state.
Members of the California Alliance for Public Schools say the overwhelming majority of private schools have religious affiliations, meaning that voucher programs result in state funding going to church schools.
