A large contingent of doctors, nurses and staff at Tuolumne General Hospital let the County Board of Supervisors know that they want hospital administrator Michael Marini to stay on as the head of the facility.
The Supervisors will look into Marini´s future at the hospital today. Several who addressed the Board at their weekly meeting this morning spoke of Marini´s ability to boost morale among the staff at the hospital as well as aggressively addressing the hospital´s financial problems. Everyone who addressed the board clearly were in support of Marini.
Marini was suddenly placed on administrative leave by County Administrator Brent Wallace two weeks ago. The Board´s decision on whether or not to dismiss Marini will be discussed in closed session today.
