For the first time in nearly five years, unemployment in California has reached one million. That´s a jobless increase of more than 200 thousand people over the past year.
From October through November the state jobless rate climbed from 5.8 percent to six percent. The biggest job losses occurred in the manufacturing of electronic and industrial equipment.
