Calaveras County Businessman Ed Rich announced his candidacy for the fifth district seat of the County Board of Supervisors. The newly redistricted seat covers a vast area from Copperolis to the Valley Springs area.
Rich´s platform features making changes to the county General Plan to facilitate increased growth in agriculture as well as agri-tourism.
Rich will be running against three opponents in the March election.
