Valley Springs, CA – A man was airlifted to a hospital in Sacramento following a crash in Calaveras County.
The CHP reports that 52-year-old Meng P. Saeteurn of Stockton was driving a Toyota RAV 4 on Highway 12 near Southworth Road last night. He was hoping to legally pass a slower vehicle ahead of him and moved into the oncoming traffic lane. However, he failed to take note of an oncoming 2007 Harley Davidson ridden by 30-year-old Jonathan Armstrong of Valley Springs. By the time Saeteurn saw Armstrong it was too late and the vehicles collided. Armstrong was flown to Kaiser South in Sacramento to treat reported “major injuries.” The crash happened at 6:54PM.
