Prison Time For Columbia House Arsonist

Sonora, CA — The man who set fire to the historic Columbia House Restaurant will go to prison. 22 year-old Daenon Vincent Brewer of Tuolumne will spend the next 6 years behind bars for setting fire to the restaurant. Brewer got another year and four months in prison for violating his probation at the time of the arson. The Tuolumne County Districts Attorney’s Office says Brewer was fined $2240 in restitution to the court and he could face more if the restaurant asks for a restitution hearing.

In a surprise twist in May of last year, Brewer pled guilty to arson charges as the jury for the expected 3-day trial was being selected. Click here for that earlier story.
