San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors will hold a special meeting this evening and a central focus will be on the AB-109 prisoner realignment program.
The Supervisors will vote on approving the fiscal year 2013/14 budget related to implementing the AB-109 program. The total budget is estimated to be $1.54 million. 29% would go to the Sheriff’s Office, 23% towards the Day-Use Reporting Center, 13% to the Probation Department, 4% to the District Attorney’s Office, 3% to the library (adult ed and GED programs), 3% to Behavioral Health, 2% to the Angels Camp Police Department, 2% to Human Resources, and 0.2% to the Resources Connection Crisis Center.
In addition, the Board will hear a presentation tonight from the Calaveras Visitor’s Bureau, and vote whether to pass a resolution in support of the historic Railroad Flat School. The meeting will begin at 6pm at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.
