AT&T Tower On Planning Commission Agenda

Sonora, CA — The Sonora Planning Commission will vote whether to allow an AT&T owned dish receiver to increase in height by 12 ft.

The tower is located on a building at 31 William Street, and AT&T could receive a better signal by having it up above the nearby trees. On tonight’s agenda is a request for a conditional use permit that would allow the microwave monopole to go up from its current 35 ft. to 47 ft.

The Planning Commission will also vote whether to issue a Design Review Permit for a new storefront door on the Sonora Inn at 160 South Washington Street.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 5:30pm at Sonora City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
